Big departures: more and more vacationers are driving electric cars

Every summer, slowly but surely, electric cars are gaining ground. The network of charging stations has expanded, but beware of the cost of charging on the highway.

In this vast migration to the countryside, the mountains, and the sea, some will be traveling at the wheel of an electric vehicle. More and more of them are trying the electric adventure, even though 75% of French people still find it difficult to go on holiday using this mode of transport (Peugeot-Ifop barometer).
Misconception? Yes, because France has one of the most developed charging networks in Europe . In the spring, our country had 170,000 publicly accessible charging stations. On motorways? 3,673 charging points to be precise, 71% of which deliver power greater than 150 kW.
