Chevigny-en-Valière: The Department will renovate a bridge built in 1934.

Starting Monday, June 2, the Côte-d'Or Departmental Council will replace the deck of a bridge that crosses the Avant-Dheune via departmental road 111. This bridge is located in the commune of Chevigny-en-Valière , east of Beaune. "The reinforced concrete structure, dating from 1934, currently supports a low-traffic category C departmental road. However, recent inspections of the structure have shown that it was suffering from significant pathologies in terms of steel corrosion, with the direct consequence of calling into question its load-bearing capacity for current road loads. Reconstruction was therefore necessary," the Department informed.
Costing €355,000, this project, fully funded by the Department, was awarded to the company Colas Génie Civil. The project is estimated to last three months, from June 2 to September 2. "The company in charge of the work will prefabricate certain elements of the future structure, thus ensuring rapid execution and reduced road closures," the Department continued.
The road is completely cut off
The work will be carried out under a complete traffic closure on the RD 111. A diversion will be put in place using the following routes: RD 111k and RD 2 via the hamlet of Parruey (commune of Corgengoux) in Côte-d'Or then by the RD 171, 183 and 94 in Saône-et-Loire via the communes of Palleau, Saint-Martin-en-Gâtinois and the hamlet of Chaublanc (commune of Saint-Gervais-en-Valière).
