Doubs. In 2025, the world of work is entering a complicated period.

Jean-François Locatelli, regional director of France Travail in Doubs, doesn't mince his words when discussing the economic situation in the department: "Growth is slowing, the unemployment rate is mixed, inflation is persistent, and there is also political instability due to the Ukrainian crisis, American international policy, etc."

These are all factors that are sowing doubt in the minds of many companies. "It's making them cautious. And then, technologies are evolving, especially AI, which is disrupting structures." As a direct consequence of these concerns, recruitment plans are declining. In 2025, across the entire department, there will be 14,290, compared to 18,410 the previous year.
