Radio audiences: France Inter challenges itself to stay ahead after the summer transfer window

ANALYSIS - For the final wave of Médiamétrie before the major changes of the fall, Radio France's flagship consolidates its lead, RTL stabilizes and Europe 1 continues its rise.
Some have had a season in hell. Others, in heaven. But overall, French radio stations have continued to lose listeners. Between April and June, daily listening to the media declined sharply, by half a million people (555,000) over a year and by more than 800,000 over a period of time. With 37.7 million French listeners, radio is at an all-time low, according to Médiamétrie data.
In this adverse context, public radio is consolidating its leadership by closing a record season. Overall, Radio France 's six stations have attracted an average of nearly 14.7 million listeners each day since September. Combined, their audience shares exceed 30%.
