This Monday is the first day of a week marked by several calls for strikes by Sud-Rail and the CGT-Cheminots union over issues of pay and work organization, culminating in a strike by controllers expected to follow in the middle of the May 8th long weekend.

On RER B line, "traffic is severely disrupted" on Monday morning with "one train out of two on the northern part of the line, and two trains out of three on the southern part," according to the website transilien.com. However, "no train changes are necessary at Paris Gare du Nord." Regarding the RER C line, traffic is also "severely disrupted," with one train out of two. On the RER E line, traffic is "slightly disrupted," with four out of five trains expected to run. However, traffic is normal on the RER A line, the busiest line.

The same frequency of one train in two is observed on Transilien lines N, U and V, where traffic is reported to be “significantly disrupted” .

“Exchangeable, refundable, free of charge” tickets

In the Hauts-de-France region, only the TER trains in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais regions are affected, according to the SNCF, which announced the maintenance of "just over one in three trains" . Passengers were informed of these disruptions from 3 p.m. on Friday "so that they can make arrangements even before leaving for the weekend," the SNCF said.

At the national level, SNCF Voyageurs did not release a forecast for Monday on Sunday. On the sncf-connect website , a message indicates that "due to a social movement, TGV INOUI and OUIGO train traffic may be disrupted between Monday, May 5 and Sunday, May 11. The transport plan may be adapted and confirmed the day before departure from 5 p.m."

"We are far from a black week, there will be no week of standstill, but a week as normal as possible," said SNCF Voyageurs CEO Christophe Fanichet in an interview with Agence France-Presse. "TGV services will be normal from Monday, May 5 to Thursday, May 8," he said, and most trains will run on May 9, 10, and 11.

In addition to promising to transport everyone by train, Christophe Fanichet has committed to "ensuring that all customers are notified before leaving [for the weekend, editor's note] regarding their return train." "That is to say, they must be notified before the start of the long weekend on Wednesday for services until Sunday, May 11," he explained.

He also indicated that all tickets are "exchangeable, refundable, without charge" on both TGV Inoui and Ouigo trains, for the week of May 5 to 11.
