Vosges. Mineral water treatments banned: In Vittel and Contrexéville, Nestlé Waters withdrew its 0.2-micron microfiltration two weeks ago.

This Thursday, Nestlé Waters announced that it had abandoned its 0.2-micron microfiltration system at its Vergèze production site. However, in the Vosges region, the Swiss water giant's subsidiary dismantled this system two weeks ago for its Hépar and Contrexéville brands.
This is simply a response to requests from the administration. As you may recall, about two months ago, the Vosges and Gard prefectures asked Nestlé Waters to remove their 0.2-micron microfiltration systems from their French production sites. And this within... two months.
In the Vosges region, the prefectural decree was issued on April 15, and the requested changes became effective at the Vittel and Contrexéville factories about two weeks ago. This progress was particularly welcomed by the CFDT (French Trade Union Confederation of Labour). In Vergèze, everything was delayed by two weeks, and this Thursday, the Swiss giant's water subsidiary officially announced that it had replaced its 0.2-micron cartridge filters in Perrier's production cycle with 0.45-micron ones. This cut-off level has become the de facto standard in France in recent months.
A train that arrives on time, in the Vosges case, for the management of the world's No. 1 food company: "As we had promised to the Vosges prefecture services, we have adapted our microfiltration system for the Contrex and Hépar brands. The new 0.45 micron microfiltration system was installed in accordance with our discussions with the health authorities."

As a path towards a return to a peaceful activity: "This is an important step in Nestlé Waters France's commitment to ensuring the sustainability of our Vosges site and its natural mineral water brands, markers of the Vosges and French regional heritage." Vosges brands that needed these 0.2 filters much less than Perrier.
