"Are we going to have roundabouts again?": Left-wing activists still in the dark following the September 10th call

While largely in support of the movement calling for a "blockade" of the country at the start of the school year, the environmentalist and Insoumis supporters we met in Strasbourg and Châteauneuf-sur-Isère are nonetheless wondering about the form it will take. And its scale.

A dozen or so Insoumis supporters gather in front of the lake where the LFI summer schools are being held this Saturday, August 23, in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère (Drôme). "September 1, 2, 3, 10!" the group's photographer shouts to them. Toothy smiles are guaranteed in the photo.

The day before, their leader, Jean-Luc Mélenchon , called for a "general strike" on this date, which was marked by a spontaneous movement of citizens, originating on social networks, who called for "blocking" the country . Since then, France Insoumise has been riding the wave of the phenomenon in the hope of stirring up the social back-to-school season.
