Only Paprec had submitted a bid for the construction of this new facility to replace the incineration plant. However, the technical and financial conditions were not suitable. An alternative was quickly found with Greater Nancy for the management of household waste by the UVE in Ludres.

The Energy Recovery Unit (UVE) project, which the Bar-le-Duc urban community (Meuse Grand Sud) was considering creating, along with several inter-municipal authorities from Meuse and Meurthe-et-Moselle, in Tronville-en-Barrois, is over.
