A chronicle of a story fabricated by the fachosphere, spread by CNews, and used for a few hours by the National Rally and Les Républicains. Or: the art of using every means possible to stigmatize young people in Marseille's northern neighborhoods. Or: how to capitalize on, and spin, a news story that, a priori, does not fuel the deplorable vision of a society ravaged by Islam, "savagery," and insecurity.

The "information" comes from the fachosphere: gangs of youths are said to have taken advantage of the fire that recently devastated the outskirts of L'Estaque and the northern districts of Marseille to loot housing estates deserted by their residents. This story has
