Longwy. Work on the Chiers viaduct: traffic disrupted on the RN 52 on July 9 and 10

In order to improve the safety and quality of road infrastructure, work will take place during the night of Wednesday 9 to Thursday 10 July on the Chiers viaduct, located on the RN 52. They will be carried out by the Eastern Interdepartmental Roads Directorate (DIR Est), which has been under the responsibility of the Grand Est Region since 1 January 2025. This work will take place at night, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., and will result in the closure of the RN 52 in both directions of traffic, between the Mexy and Pulventeux interchanges.

• The Metz - Arlon direction will be affected, with mandatory exit at the Mexy interchange and diversion via the RD 520 and RD 618, then joining the RN 52 towards Arlon.
• The Arlon - Metz direction will be affected, with mandatory exit at the Pulventeux interchange, and diversion via the RD 618 and RD 520, to then join the access ramp to the RN 52 towards Metz.
• The access ramp to the RN 52 towards Longwy, from the Mexy interchange, will be closed and a local diversion will be put in place.
Please note that during the day, left lane closures will also be in place.
