Mâcon. Humanity Festival: The Mâcon branch of the French Communist Party mobilizes

Nine activists gathered at the offices of the Mâconnais branch of the French Communist Party to discuss the upcoming Fête de l'Humanité. This 90th edition will take place on September 12, 13, and 14 in Plessis Pâté, near Bretigny-sur-Orge (Essonne). Organized by the newspaper L'Humanité since 1930, the event is expected to bring together numerous artists (Adèle Castillon, Eddy de Pretto, Gims, Hoshi, etc.) and will partially fund the newspaper. In support, the local Mâconnais committee is coordinating several buses scheduled to depart from Chalon-sur-Saône on Friday and Saturday, returning on Sunday evening.
Beyond a music festival, the Fête de l'Humanité aims to promote the values of equality and access to culture for all. This year, the focus is on international solidarity, peace, and justice, with support for the Palestinian people and other oppressed peoples. It will also be an opportunity to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the CGT (General Confederation of Trade Unions) and the 80th anniversary of Secours Populaire (Secours Populaire). The event has been a highlight of the left in France for years. Residents of Mâconnais will be present.
