Former influencer queen Magali Berdah will lead daily evening debates on Sud Radio between influencers and politicians, she told AFP on Monday, confirming information from media expert Clément Garin.
She will lead these debates between two guests from Monday to Thursday, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting September 1. "The idea is to bring together two worlds that never speak to each other," she said, welcoming the idea of "breaking the codes."
"Bring to a vote"In 2022, during the last presidential campaign, Magali Berdah launched a YouTube channel to follow the candidates and make politics "accessible to all." She conducted her first interview with far-right candidate Éric Zemmour.
"There's a real demand for outreach," insists the reality TV personality agent, founder of Shauna Events. She hopes to "reconcile with politics" and even "bring it to the vote."
A former columnist on Cyril Hanouna's TPMP show on the now-defunct C8 channel, the 43-year-old businesswoman proposed her debate concept to Sud Radio several months ago, which "listened to her and gave her freedom." "We had a lot of discussions," confirmed Patrick Roger, the station's general manager, who also placed Jean-François Achilli, the journalist fired by Radio France, in charge of the morning show's political interview.
The director sees Magali Berdah's show as "a mirror of our times" and a way to reach young listeners. "She has shaped the sector" and "has the right to open these debates" between "the digital world and institutions," he emphasized.
Her work as an influencer agent has been undermined over the past three years, particularly due to a widespread controversy in the media and on social media. She was notably targeted by rapper Booba, who pointed out the deceptive business practices of influencers.
The investigation against the business leader was closed without further action, while Booba was charged with aggravated online moral harassment and 28 internet users were sentenced in March 2024.
