The leader of the Nice socialists, Patrick Allemand, mobilizes supporters at his office at the port

"What a beautiful image of the left we are offering to the city of Nice." This image is that of the activists, supporters, and ordinary people gathered in front of Patrick Allemand's office at 13 rue Bavastro, this Saturday, June 21, for its reopening.
A moment that the Socialist Party leader intended for the upcoming municipal elections to be convivial and unified. For he was joined by the Communist Party, represented by Julien Picot, departmental secretary of the PCF 06, and the Ecologists, with Fabrice Decoupigny, a Nice city councilor. But without La France Insoumise.
The message is clear: "We are gathered to build a new Nice ," insists Patrick Allemand, alongside the first federal secretary of the PS 06, José Garcia Abia. "We are not going to pick up a few seats but to win because we believe it is possible. The right has dominated local politics for 85 years. This must change. When I was a young activist, we used to say that unity is a fight... We must let old quarrels go away because the task ahead of us is great. I call on everyone to measure their responsibilities. We have an obligation to win to change the City, for the 30,000 people seeking housing, for the 2,000 parents waiting for a place in a nursery. (...)"
"The City Exhausted by the Fratricidal War Ciotti - Estrosi"And he launched: "We sense that something is happening in Nice: the city is exhausted by the fratricidal war between Éric Ciotti and Christian Estrosi. We have known since the 2024 legislative elections that we can win, when a part of the traditionally abstaining left-wing electorate turns out to vote. Our trump card is Christian Estrosi's record: he no longer has an objective or a vision, he is just a man who pulls stunts."
The 64-year-old leader of the Nice Socialists also anticipates the critics: "Some say I'm too old. I've thought long and hard: am I still useful to the left in Nice?"
"Yes," the 120 people present spontaneously replied. Patrick Allemand continued: "It was these requests and encouragement that finally convinced me. I can confirm that I am indeed a candidate for the next municipal elections."
