The Legion of Honor for Josée Massiet Gilles Vincent

By decree of the President of the Republic dated July 11, 2025, published yesterday in the Official Journal , several dozen deserving French citizens were awarded the Legion of Honor or promoted to a higher rank. Two illustrious Varois are notably included in this promotion.

This is the case of Josée Massi, mayor of Toulon, made a knight of the Legion of Honour for 48 years of service, as a teacher and then elected representative of the first city of Var.

Another Var elected official also received the distinction. Gilles Vincent, mayor of Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer and vice-president of the Toulon Provence Méditerranée metropolitan area, has 52 years of service.
