On the budget side, he proposed pooling heating savings in winter to finance silent concerts in parks. He calls it “sensory ecology.” He's been called a sweet dreamer, a spoiled child of the Republic – a nod to the rapper SCH, whom he now quotes in city council meetings: "Lyon, my spoiled child..." And despite the criticism, he gets something, he gets that people are fed up with concrete, noise, and SUVs. He gets that we need meaning, air, flowers. And a little humor in the cycle streets.
