Arcisate - The storm in Arcisate and the interventions of civil protection and volunteers - - Varese News

The volunteers of the Arcisate Municipal Civil Protection Group were busy for over three hours on Sunday afternoon, carrying out interventions aimed at securing the area after the storm that hit the town between 3 and 4 pm. ( HERE is the article on the damage to Porto Ceresio and Besano ). The main interventions involved the cutting and removal of fallen trees on the roads and in some cases on the power lines and the repair of manholes opened by the water pressure.

Nine men were involved in the intervention, with the coordinator of the Civil Protection group Fabrizio Cassani and the municipal technician Filippo Sanfilippo, who were able to count on the support of the agroforestry company of Manolo Zilio, who with his father Roberto immediately made himself available with chainsaws, forestry cranes and an aerial platform to reach the highest points.

Fallen trees have been cut down and removed on Via Oberdan in Brenno Useria, on Via Leonardo Da Vinci and Via Poscalla and on the road that leads from the roundabout of the new Baranzello link road to the Cattafame area . Branches broken by the wind were also cut down in Lagozza park.

Deputy Mayor Emanuela Sardella, on behalf of Mayor Antonino Centorrino who was out of town, thanked the volunteers for their work.
