Giulio Martignoni, councilor for Commerce and Budget for the Municipality of Buguggiate, has resigned from the council led by Matteo Sambo. The news became official with the convocation of the next city council meeting, scheduled for Thursday, July 24th at 9:00 PM. The first item on the agenda is Martignoni's resignation and the validation of the election of Simone Parola, who will replace him.
Martignoni's name has already been removed from the city's website, and for a few days he hasn't been listed among the current administrators. A normal changeover? According to Mayor Matteo Sambo, yes: the official reason, now common in similar cases, is supervening professional commitments.
However, many have speculated that the resignation is due to internal tensions, especially those arising from the controversial decision to leave Coinger.
