Cesena working on the market. But the first issue is the exits

While the shopping list is taking shape, Cesena must resolve the issue of outgoings as soon as possible. In particular, at Juventus, they are counting the potential capital gains from the sales of the two most valuable players, namely Jonathan Klinsmann and Cristian Shpendi, without forgetting the other youth products Matteo Francesconi and Tommaso Berti who have aroused some interest. There are over ten million euros at stake, with the goalkeeper's valuation of around three million, while the asking price for Shpendi fluctuates between seven and eight million euros: this alone would be a nest egg that could also give a significant boost to incoming negotiations.
In a market that increasingly complains about the lack of liquidity and where everyone tries to operate with low-cost exchanges and loans, placing the two jewels is certainly not a simple thing. Above all, the Klinsmann operation, which must also be completed quickly to avoid seeing the Demba Thiam option slip away, appears complicated, also due to the certainly important valuation. He rightly wants to go and be a starter in a category that gives him visibility to be able to play the chances of playing in the World Cup with the stars and stripes jersey. In Serie A there was talk of interest from Parma and Torino, then the ambitious Palermo of Pippo Inzaghi emerged and is preparing the team to try to make the direct jump to Serie A. At the moment nothing concrete. The situation is not too different for Shpendi, followed by many teams in Serie A, Fiorentina and Torino in the lead, attentions that have not yet translated into concrete steps.
We were saying that Klinsmann's exit would unblock the arrival of Thiam, designated replacement but that if the times were to be extended he could eventually give in to the flattery of other clubs. Monza for example had already made advances, but the Brianza club is currently blocked by the corporate issue.
If the Thiam deal were to fall through in the end, attention could fall on Riccardo Gagno, leaving Modena and who Mignani has already coached in Serie C for two seasons from 2019 to 2021. Speaking of goalkeepers, as of yesterday Matteo Pisseri is no longer a Cesena player, his contract with Cavalluccio expired on June 30 and he now officially appears on the list of free agents.
Yesterday, sporting director Filippo Fusco arrived in town to continue his work on the names already under consideration, from striker Pierluca Luciani of Messina to winger Emanuele Rao, although further consideration is being given to the latter as he is not too suited to Mignani's system, and also to the former Pontedera midfielder Matteo Guidi.
