Friulia: Zilli, 20 million capital increase crucial for AgorAi development

We are very pleased that the Friulia Assembly unanimously approved the €20 million capital increase proposed by the Region to allow the regional financial institution to participate in the AgorAi project, the research and innovation center for artificial intelligence and data science currently under construction in Trieste. This important step demonstrates the regional administration's commitment and ambition to make our region, together with all other private partners, a European hub for the development of new technologies to support our entrepreneurial system. This represents a real added value for the regional community.
This was stated by Finance Councillor Barbara Zilli, who participated in the Friulia assembly today via video link.
With this financial intervention, approved in May as part of the multisectoral law, the Region effectively matches the financial contributions of the other stakeholders in this innovative initiative.
"The Friulia assembly is the best opportunity to thank the key players in our banking system who are investing with great confidence in this project, knowing," Zilli said, "that this is an extraordinary opportunity for the growth of Friuli Venezia Giulia."
