From Holidu , one of Europe's largest holiday home and apartment booking portals, comes the updated ranking of the most beautiful beaches in Italy , the most loved and appreciated seaside destinations for 2025.
Thetop 30 most popular Italian beaches according to Holidu , evaluated based on the average user score on Google Maps , include numerous locations in the South and on the islands, but not only. In addition to the major islands and the splendid southern coasts of the peninsula, Tuscany and Liguria also appear in the ranking.
Best Beaches 2025: The Top 5Holidu's ranking sees Rabbit Beach in Lampedusa in first place, a true paradise off the southern coast of Sicily that takes its name from the Rabbit Island. The location boasts an average score of 4.9 out of 5 on Google's review platform, with nearly 3,000 reviews.
Second place goes to Cala Mariolu in Sardinia , the pearl of the Gulf of Orosei on the island's central-eastern coast, accessible only by sea or a hiking trail. The average score is 4.8 with over 5,500 reviews.
Tuerredda Beach, also in Sardinia, near Teulada, completes the top three. This time, it's on the southwest coast, stretching between Capo Malfatano and Capo Spartivento. Its score is 4.7 out of over 15,800 reviews, the highest score in the ranking.
In fourth place is another Sardinian destination, Is Arutas Beach on the Sinis Peninsula in the province of Oristano, a stretch of fine sand also known as "rice grain beach." Closing out the top 5 is Porto Giunco Beach in Villasimius, another Sardinian tourist destination located on the southern coast known for its crystal-clear waters and fine sand.
Where are the most popular beaches located?Sardinia dominates the beach rankings with 22 out of 30 beaches, including Cala Goloritzé (also known as Cala Mariolu in the Baunei area), Mari Pintau in Quartu Sant'Elena, Piscinas in Arbus, and Cala Spinosa in Santa Teresa di Gallura, to name just a few.
Calabria and Puglia are present with two beaches each, Arcomagno in San Nicola Arcella and Rotonda in Tropea for the former, Porto Selvaggio in Nardò and San Pietro in Bevagna in Manduria for the latter.
Liguria boasts Boccadasse , a famous fishing village near Genoa, while Tuscany is represented in the ranking by Cavoli Beach , located on the coast of Elba Island. Finally, Campania comes in 24th place with Bagni Regina Giovanna in Sorrento.
