Lusevera plane crash: Inconclusive results, investigation closed

The Udine Public Prosecutor's Office has requested the dismissal of the investigation into the Lusevera plane crash. According to the investigating magistrates, the technical investigations were inconclusive and there is no evidence to suggest errors by the Frecce Tricolori captain, Alessio Ghersi, a highly experienced pilot. This is what emerges from the dismissal request that Udine Deputy Prosecutor Giorgio Milillo has served on the lawyers of the families of the two victims and the defense attorneys of the three individuals under investigation for the alleged negligent plane crash and manslaughter of Captain Ghersi and Sante Ciaccia, a Milanese manager.
The two lost their lives on April 29, 2023, when the Pioneer 300 Marche, piloted by the soldier, caught fire and crashed on Mount Musi, in the municipality of Lusevera.
Those under investigation were Moreno Stinat, chairman of the board of directors of Alpi Aviation, the ultralight aircraft manufacturer based in San Quirino, near Pordenone, and Corrado Rusalen, a company director and husband of the suspect.
