Morrissey arrives in Italy after canceling some dates of his European tour

Celebrated British singer and songwriter Morrissey , former frontman of The Smiths and global indie rock icon, will perform at the Teatro del Vittoriale on July 23, before continuing his tour with stops in Lucca , Rome , Catania , and Ostuni . However, a series of unexpected cancellations during the European tour are creating uncertainty regarding the Italian dates. The Stockholm shows were canceled at the last minute, with the artist citing fatigue after traveling across six countries in a single week. In an official statement, the artist later expressed his regret for the lack of support from the music industry, describing the pain of not being able to reach cities like Stockholm, Reykjavik, Trondheim, and Helsinki as "terrible." The situation was further complicated by the announcement of the cancellation of five more European dates— Belgrade , Bucharest , Istanbul , Athens , and Šibenik —this time due to an injury suffered by a band member. Despite these setbacks, according to the artist himself , Morrissey's tour is expected to resume regularly on the 23rd in Gardone Riviera. At the moment, all five Italian dates remain confirmed in the official calendar. The setlist includes Smiths songs such as "Shoplifters of the World Unite ," "How Soon Is Now?", "I Know It's Over," and the poignant "Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me ," as well as solo hits such as "You're the One for Me," "Fatty," "All You Need Is Me, " "Everyday Is Like Sunday," and the masterpiece "Irish Blood, English Heart ." Robbie Williams recently announced that he has dedicated a song to him on his upcoming album.
