Serie A: Roma-Monza 4-0

Rome-Monza 4-0
Beautiful, solid and sparkling. It is Roma 2.0 that on the Monday night of the 26th matchday overwhelms with a poker a Monza, far too surrendered and with their heads already in B, bringing themselves close to the Europa zone, just one point from Milan and Bologna and two from Fiorentina. Launching the Giallorossi, in the cold and humid evening at the Olimpico, is Alexis Saelemaekers who with a prowess from distance finds the 1-0 for his team after only ten minutes.
After half an hour, Shomurodov deservedly doubled the lead, set up by an unleashed Soulé. In the second half, it was the Giallorossi academy with Dybala and Paredes on the pitch and the beautiful goal for 3-0 scored by Angelino, followed in the final minutes by Cristante's 4-0 header. In view of the double Europa League clash with Athletic Bilbao, Ranieri fielded almost all the reserves with Shomurodov replacing Dovbyk, who was still injured. Behind him, Soulé and Baldanzi, in midfield Pisilli with Cristante. Nesta relied on Ganvoula with Mota at his side.
And Roma started off strong with Pisilli who wasted a chance to take the lead after just five minutes: the young Giallorossi player served in the center of the area by Soulè practically missed a penalty in motion. The Giallorossi goal was already in the air due to the constant pressure from Ranieri's team on a Monza team that had seemed too resigned from the start, and that was thanks to a feat by Saelemaekers: the Belgian worked a good ball on the right, feinted, came back onto his left foot and let loose a great curling shot, Turati didn't get there, 1-0 for Roma.
Once ahead, the Giallorossi don't stop, while Monza can't trouble Svilar: the game is practically in just one half of the pitch, that of the Brianza team. And after half an hour, a deserved 2-0 arrives thanks to an intoxicating move by Soulè on the right. The Argentine flies to the bottom between one feint and another, serves Shomurodov perfectly who heads it into the net. The inertia of the game is always the same with Roma constantly on the attack, while to see the first and only dangerous action by Monza we have to wait until the 41st minute with Svilar doing well to deflect a dangerous shot by Ganvoula. The second half begins along the same lines as the first with Ranieri's team making the game in constant search of the third goal.
Baldanzi comes close to scoring before making way for Dybala on the pitch in the 15th minute of the second half amid applause after the great evening against Porto. Shortly after, Paredes and Rensch also come on, Shomurodov and Saelemaekers come off and Angelino scores a hat-trick: the Giallorossi advance on the right with Hummel and Cristante, the ball ends up with Angelino who controls it and then beats Turati with a low diagonal left-footed shot. And it's not over: a few minutes from the final whistle, Cristante scores a poker with a header served by Dybala with the Olimpico celebrating the tenth useful result for Ranieri's team who, after the tragic start to the season, now find themselves one step away from Europe.
