Summer Jamboree, couples on the dance floor. A Lindy Circle challenge.

August 8, 2025

Germans Wagner and Braun, first place, won Giacomelli's photographs at the Hera Dance Contest
A challenge of swing, energy, and improvisation. In Senigallia, Piazza Garibaldi transformed into the dance floor of the Hera Dance Contest, the open-level couples competition, free and open to all. The winner was Max Wagner and Alina Braun from Germany, with Cyrius Nugier and Marion Marechal from France and Fabio and Chiara Rovedoni from Milan taking second and third place, respectively. Judges were Summer Jamboree Dance Camp and Boot Camp instructors Alexsia Ghezzo, Carolina Lampugnani, Dimitri Masotti, Francesco Pezzo, Katja Zavrsnik, Lizette Rönnqvist, Minn Vo, Moe Sakan, and Rasmus Holmqvist. The winners received two original photographs by Mario Giacomelli from the iconic series "Io non ho mani che mi accarezzino il volto" (presented by Maurizio Fratini, business sales manager at Hera Comm, along with Summer Jamboree organizers Angelo Di Liberto and Alessandro Piccinini). These works depict the young seminarians of Senigallia, hand in hand, forming a dancing circle.
A gesture reminiscent of the Lindy Circle, one of the fundamental steps of swing dancing, where circular motion and harmony become a pure expression of joy.
