Amplifon climbs the Ftse Mib, positive data on the sector from France

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Amplifon shines on Piazza Affari. The hearing aid company's stock is rising among the best on the main index, while the FTSE MIB is falling. The boost to purchases was the data, reported yesterday by some French specialist sites, on public reimbursements for hearing aids for the month of May in France, which showed growth of approximately +14% year on year to 35.9 million euros .
According to Equita analysts, who have a “buy” rating on the stock with a target price of 28 euros, the growth in reimbursements has been around 5% since the beginning of the year, with a negative start to the year and an acceleration starting in March. «The data – Sim experts highlight – is consistent with the messages from Amplifon and the manufacturers most exposed to France», and therefore is consistent with the +10% expected for the year by the Italian company . According to estimates, France represents around 12% of Amplifon's revenues and almost 20% of the revenues of the EMEA area, «so the confirmation of this trend in 2025 is an important element of support for the group's estimates, not only in terms of revenues but also in terms of Ebitda (high operating leverage on additional volumes)». At the moment, however, no signs of recovery are coming from other European markets , which is why Equita has reduced «expectations for organic growth in the EMEA area to 3.5% (2.0% ex France)».
