Another farewell for Elon Musk (and Tesla): the head of sales in North America leaves.

ROME – Not even a month has passed since the farewell of Omead Afshar , one of the managers closest to Elon Musk , who at Tesla must deal with another divorce. This time the one leaving the Texan company is Vice President of Sales, Service and Delivery North America, Troy Jones , as reported by the Wall Street Journal .
Jones, who has been at the helm of what remains the largest market for Musk's electric cars, is leaving the company after 15 years , at a time when Tesla is grappling with a significant decline in sales that began when its founder joined Donald Trump 's administration and continued despite his departure from the White House following disagreements over the " Big Beautiful Bill ." That is, Trump's favorite budget plan, which on the one hand cuts Medicaid spending by around a trillion dollars and on the other would cause the US public debt to explode . At least according to Musk. And so does a long list of international economists.
The latest in chronological order is the 2013 Nobel Prize winner in Economics, Robert Shiller , who in an interview with Repubblica explains how the US debt "will rise from the current 37 to 47 trillion in 2030, 132% of GDP," and how the commander in chief has "not bothered to increase it by another 3-4 trillion." With the Big Beautiful Bill, precisely.
The Afshar case hasn't stopped the hemorrhaging of managers. Before him, the director of Human Resources for North America, Jenna Ferrua , had also abandoned Musk. That was in June. Earlier this year, however, Milan Kovac, a senior executive in the Artificial Intelligence sector, had taken a different path. Now it's Jones's turn.
