European Super Cup in Udine, tender open for the management of Fan meeting points and Fan festival

The city of Udine is ready to host, in just over a month, one of the most important events in European international football. On the pitch of the Friuli stadium, PSG, winner of the last edition of the Champions League, will face Tottenham Hotspur, who won the last Europa League final, in the UEFA Super Cup final.

"Hosting an event of international importance such as the UEFA Super Cup is perhaps the most important opportunity for economic development for Udine in recent years. We are extremely satisfied with the multi-million dollar spin-off that this event will generate, as well as the value both in terms of attendance and visibility for our city", comments the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Major Events of the Municipality of Udine Alessandro Venanzi.

"The Administration strongly wanted this great sporting event to also be a moment of cooperation: for this reason we considered it strategic to involve the economic categories and representatives of the city's commerce at the organizational table, together with UEFA and FIGC. The active collaboration with the merchants has shown that the growth objectives are common and how useful it is to team up to build a widespread welcome, which highlights the excellence and capabilities of our territory. It is the first of many other challenges for a city like ours, which has recovered vitality, and we are ready to face them", the words of the Deputy Mayor of Udine Alessandro Venanzi.

For this event, Udine will be involved in every way: starting from the Tuesday before the event, Piazza Libertà will host the UEFA Fan Festival, an area open to all with games, gadgets and the chance to admire the three cups of the competition. In Via Mercatovecchio, the sponsors will liven up the street with activities and entertainment, while in Piazza San Giacomo the Giant Trophy will be visible, an installation about 4 meters high that will be on display from July 29. For the fans of the two finalist teams, two Fan Meeting Points are planned: Piazza Primo Maggio for Tottenham and Parco Moretti for Paris Saint-Germain, active on August 13 from 10 am to 6 pm with music, food and beverage, services and themed entertainment.

The call for tenders for the management of hospitality areas

Precisely for the preparation of these areas dedicated to fans and enthusiasts, the municipal administration has published the tender for the management of the hospitality areas in the city. This is an event that will bring tens of thousands of fans to the city, especially thousands of English and French fans, who will be able to enjoy, in the dedicated areas, food and drink points.

The subject of the tender is therefore the temporary assignment of public land intended for the management of food and drink points in Piazza Libertà, location of the Fan Festival, Parco Moretti, where the PSG fan meeting point will be located and Piazza I Maggio, where Tottenham fans will instead gather.

The notice is addressed to economic operators with proven experience in the sector, called to guarantee a quality gastronomic offer, and respectful of the constraints imposed by the official sponsors of the event.

The available spaces will include both stands managed independently by the concessionaires and kiosks sponsored by Heineken, the official sponsor of the event. Applications for participation must be submitted exclusively through the regional portal eAppalti FVG, no later than 13:00 on 15 July 2025.
