Ferrero continues its Carambar candy business: a deal in France is imminent.

French investment fund Eurazeo intends to sell CPK—the maker of Carambar , Krema candies, and Poulain chocolate—to Ferrara Candy, an American company controlled by the Ferrero group , maker of Nutella. Eurazeo announced the news in a statement, according to French news agency AFP.
The transaction, expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, remains subject to approval by antitrust authorities, the fund stated. Eurazeo also told AFP that it holds a "large majority" in CPK, without specifying the exact amount.
Founded in 2017 following the acquisition of 14 brands from the American group Mondelez and the 2018 merger with the company Lamy Lutti, CPK – an acronym for Carambar Poulain Krema – is a French group active in the candy, milk chocolate, and national confectionery brands sectors. It employs over 900 people and owns three production plants and a laboratory in France.
On Thursday, the agri-food giant Ferrero – which owns, among others, the Kinder and Crunch brands – had already announced the acquisition of the American group WK Kellogg , a specialist in breakfast cereals (Corn Flakes, Froot Loops, Rice Krispies, All-Bran, etc.), to strengthen its growth in the North American market.
“With the transfer to Ferrero, the CPK group will be able to continue to develop as part of a global industrial project,” said Amandine Ayrem, partner at Eurazeo, quoted in the press release.
