Public transport strike on February 24: stop times and guarantee bands

MILAN – New disruptions are expected for those who use public transport due to the nationwide local public transport strike called by grassroots unions. The 24-hour stoppage will affect the metro, buses and trams.
In local public transport, as usual, there are guaranteed time slots with different hours from city to city: in Rome, vehicles will run from 5:30 to 8:30 and then from 17:30 to 20:00. The same times for trams, buses and trolleybuses also in Naples, while in Milan circulation is guaranteed until 8:45 and then between 15:00 and 18:00. In Bologna - Tper reports - the 24-hour strikes will take place, in compliance with the guaranteed time slots, from 8:30 to 16:30 and from 19:30 to the end of service. In Genoa , Amt reports, the service will be guaranteed in two time slots: from 6:00 to 9:00 and from 17:30 to 20:30.
The protest is against the failure to adjust wages and contractual conditions for the three-year period 2024-2026.
The stop in air transportLocal public transport will not be the only one affected. Another 4-hour protest concerns the workers of EasyJet and Aeroitalia in the air sector, with the travelling staff stopping between 12 and 16.
