Stock Market: Tokyo, opening down (-0.77%)

Tokyo Stock Exchange begins trading with a minus sign, after the mixed closing of the US stock indexes and with investors waiting for more details from trade negotiations between China and the United States. At the opening, the Nikkei reference index marked a down 0.77% from two-and-a-half-month highs at 37,833.86, with a loss of 294 points. On the stock market the yen appreciates slightly against the dollar at 146.70 and on the euro just below 164.
