Hallissey, the +Europa MP attacked on the beach. What happened? VIDEO

An incident occurred on the beach at Lavinio, a few kilometers from Rome: the president of +Europa and Radicali, Matteo Hallissey, was attacked after symbolically removing a sign denoting a "private beach" at a resort whose concession had expired. The incident, documented in a video on social media, reignites the debate over free access to Italian beaches and the power of beach lobbyists.
The complaint comes directly from Hallissey's social media profiles, where he describes how the removal of the sign was met with shoving and aggressive gestures from lifeguards and some members of the establishment. "Signs reading 'private beach' to keep residents out were the norm until we intervened," explains Hallissey, who traveled to Lavinio with streamer Ivan Grieco to report the practice.
During the protest, the group's umbrella was also broken. "We cannot tolerate beach owners continuing to dominate like this. Politicians must take responsibility for holding tenders and finally freeing Italian beaches from these lobbies," Hallissey concludes.
The episode brings the issue of managing beach concessions and the right to free access to beaches back to the forefront of the debate, a topic that has been the subject of controversy and legal disputes throughout Italy for years.
