Sala does not show up in the chamber, FdI protests by reading newspapers

The mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, did not appear in the City Council to report on the investigations relating to urban planning as they had requested and so the councilors of Fratelli d'Italia blocked the works of the hall with a curious protest. The party representatives they are sitting in the center of the classroom to read newspapers, explaining that now they can know the news about the city only from newspapers. "The city councilors can now only inform themselves reading the newspapers why the mayor does not come to the chamber to report - explained the group leader of Fratelli d'Italia, Riccardo Truppo -, you have transformed the City Council into a reading room". "If our job is to learn the news from the newspapers then I invite everyone to read the newspaper and not to expect that the mayor should come down to the chamber - he added -. I invite everyone to join to us at this moment of reading waiting to understand what happens in Milan. We have the right to information". The the session was then suspended for about 15 minutes and then resume regularly. Truppo then explained that the party intends to repeat the protest at every Council meeting until when the mayor does not report to the chamber.
