Altman: OpenAI Doesn't Want Government Guarantees for Data Centers

"We do not have and do not want government guarantees for OpenAI's data centers," OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said in a post on X. "We don't believe governments shouldn't pick winners or losers, and taxpayers shouldn't bail out companies that make bad business decisions or otherwise lose in the marketplace. If one company fails, other companies will do a good job," Altman added.
