Amazon Music to Include Audible Audiobooks in Italy

Amazon Music subscribers can now listen to one audiobook per month from a catalog of over 350,000 titles, plus enjoy 100 million songs in HD audio and the best podcasts without advertising, all with a single subscription. The company announced: the news affects Italy, Spain, Germany, Japan and Brazil after the recent launch in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Australia and New Zealand. Customers in Italy can access a catalog of over 18,000 audiobooks in Italian.

“The addition of Audible’s catalog makes Amazon Music Unlimited the premier destination for audio entertainment with access to over 100 million songs in HD audio, top podcasts without ads, and a vast catalog of audiobooks including music and spatial audio audiobooks,” the company said in a statement. “We’re ushering in a new era of audio entertainment for customers around the world by integrating Audible’s world-class audiobook catalog,” said Ryan Redington, General Manager of Amazon Music. “Bringing together music, podcasts, and now audiobooks into one service offers our customers unprecedented value and convenience, all within a single subscription.”

“Today’s expanded launch is a significant milestone in our global audio entertainment offering, bringing Audible’s impressive catalog to even more Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers across five continents,” said Bob Carrigan, CEO of Audible.

Starting today, Amazon Music Unlimited Individual and Family plan members can listen to one audiobook per month — of any length — included with their subscription. Customers who want to listen to more audiobooks beyond the monthly subscription can sign up for an Audible subscription or purchase individual titles directly through the Audible app.
