Musk announces 'baby Grok,' an AI chatbot for children.

Elon Musk has announced "Baby Grok," an artificial intelligence chatbot designed for children. The executive revealed the news in a post on X, his social media platform. "We're going to build Baby Grok, an app dedicated to content suitable for children," he said.
While details are scarce regarding a launch date or security methodologies, the name suggests a limited version of the Grok chatbot, already available on X, focused on education and creativity.
As Reuters reports, the move follows Google, which has already launched a version of Gemini for users under 13, designed to help with homework and stimulate curiosity, with parental controls via the Family Link app and no data collection or advertising.
Recently, Grok's AI on X has generated controversy due to controversial and inappropriate responses, including anti-Semitic comments and insults to public figures. Further complicating matters, the social network's new animated chatbots, called "companions," displayed adult language even after the AI was set to child mode.
Boaz Barak, a member of OpenAI's technical staff, criticized the new initiative's security measures in a series of posts on X. "I appreciate the scientists and engineers at xAi, but the way security has been handled is completely irresponsible," he said.
