Cities to live in the cool

(by Ida Bini) Strolling among the monuments, entering in museums and cultural palaces, listen to a concert and visit the places of art in the cool of the evening: in summer, after the sunset, the cities come alive with cultural activities for those who cool of the night does not give up the pleasure of discovery. Rome at night it is a constant surprise, even for the inhabitants themselves of the Capital, thanks to a rich program of initiatives cultural, from sunset walks to the Imperial Forums to visits to the Vittoriano or Maxxi museums. Until the 28th September, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening, from 7.30pm at 10pm, you can immerse yourself in ancient Rome, rediscovering the wonders of the archaeological area of the Imperial Forums. We then continue to the Curia, seat of the Senate, and from here to the exit from via Bonella onto via dei Fori Imperiali. Up to On September 30th you can experience 'A Night at the Colosseum', visit one-hour guided tour of the iconic monument and its undergrounds. The visit is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8pm to 11pm, with entrance from the Valadier gate on the square. Evening openings extraordinary also at the Vittoriano: every Friday, until the 26th September, the monument and the panoramic terrace remain open until 11.30pm, with last admission at 10.45pm. On the 11th, 18th and Workshops for children and families are planned for July 25th (at 7.30 pm) and guided tours for adults (at 8 pm) to admire the majestic spaces of the monument to the first king of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, to know its history and enjoy a view unpublished in Rome. Until September 28th the Sala Zanardelli hosts a photographic exhibition dedicated to the jubilee year, 'City open 2025'. Conceived by the director Edith Gabrielli and curated by Roberto Koch and Alessandra Mauro, the exhibition tells a unique period through the eyes of three different authors and photographers, Diana Bagnoli, Alex Majoli and Paolo Pellegrin. 'Maxxi Night' is the initiative that allows you to visit the Museum National Museum of the Arts of the 21st Century Even After Sunset, the 9th and on July 16th, free of charge, from 7pm to 9pm. Also on Thursday at Mudec the collection permanent, the site-specific installation by Adrian Paci ('The your sky was sea, your sea was sky') and the exhibition 'Travelogue. Stories of travel, migration and diaspora' is visits until 10.30pm. The Duomo offers evening openings with concerts of the young talents of the Conservatory to admire the spires and the Madonnina at sunset. In July the last climb is at 8.30pm and closing at 10pm; in August the opening hours are brought forward by 30 minutes and in September the last climb in the terraces is at 7.30 pm. Readings, concerts and shows in the Sforza Castle courtyard until September: the program is very rich with unique events such as the Eugenio Finardi concert July 9th at 9pm or the journey into Verdi's music on the 13th July at 9pm with the Milan Symphony Orchestra. And, again, the Stefano Bollani Quintet concert on July 16th, again at 21, and the 99 Posse Tour on July 19; the Classical Dance Gala and contemporary on July 26th at 8.45pm and Almanegretta tour on July 3rd September at 9 pm. Furthermore, from 3 to 27 August, the Cortile delle Armi turns into a large arena under the stars: 25 evenings of open-air cinema with screenings of great classics, films cult, restorations and rare titles, accompanied by debates, games and special activities. Every Saturday in the summer, the Royal Palace of Turin opens its doors doors for an evening journey into beauty and history, from 6.30pm to 9pm, discovering the most precious treasures of the Savoy residence. During each evening appointment, a section always different from the Royal Museums will be open extraordinarily to the public from 7.45pm to 11.30pm (last admission at 10.45pm), with special tickets at 5 or 10 euros depending on the evening; between the most anticipated events: the Night of San Lorenzo, the Grape Harvest Royal on September 13th and Baroque Day on October 14th. Always on Saturday the Royal Palace and the majestic Palazzo Madama open their doors for an incredible evening guided tour charm and charm to the two symbolic buildings of the city. Finally, on Saturday 5, 12, 19 and 26 July the Egyptian Museum remains open for evening visits until 10.30pm. From July 4th the Vasari Corridor of the Uffizi in Florence is open to visits every Friday evening, from 7pm to 11pm, except on the day of Ferragosto. From July 4th to September 27th the Friday evening openings at the Ercolano Archaeological Park: Every Friday evening visitors can stroll through the streets and the domus of ancient Herculaneum, and participate in events and cultural activities. Instead, we have to wait until September - the 5th, 12th and 19th - and 3rd October to enter the Museum in the evening National Archaeological Museum of Naples: until 11.30pm you can visit the unique masterpieces of the great Neapolitan museum with a ticket of 5 euros. July 11th and 25th, August 8th and September 5th Home Noha in Matera is the starting point of the 'I Sassi' walk at sunset', an evening tour supported by the Fai which takes place winds through the alleys of the Sassi and allows you to understand how Matera has transformed itself over time, maintaining its extraordinary identity intact.
