An 18-year-old youth was arrested for the murder of a panchero in Godoy Cruz.

He would be an employee of the merchant Federico Scattareggi (49), found murdered with multiple stab wounds on Monday afternoon. He had a residence in Luján.
An 18-year-old man was arrested in recent hours as the prime suspect in the murder of Federico Germán Scattareggi, a 49-year-old merchant found dead in his hot dog shop, "Gran Pancho," in Godoy Cruz . He was believed to be an employee of the merchant, and blood stains and cuts on his hands and arms were a warning sign.
Scattareggi was found dead this Monday afternoon at the hot dog stand located on Horcones and Panamericana streets in the Trapiche neighborhood, across from Benegas Park.
According to police sources, the victim's brother went to the store after noticing that Federico hadn't returned home the previous night. Upon arriving, he found the shopkeeper's white Toyota Etios parked and, upon entering the store, discovered him lying on the bathroom floor in a pool of blood.

Officers confirmed that Scattareggi's body had multiple stab wounds. No missing items were reported from the business, so the possibility of robbery or unlawful conduct was ruled out, and the suspect was identified as someone close to the businessman.
In recent hours, personnel from the Departmental Investigative Unit (UID) raided a home in Luján de Cuyo, where they seized a pair of sneakers, socks, a pair of shorts, a cell phone, and a piece of paper with blood stains.
Although the suspect was not initially present at the scene, thanks to neighbors' reports, he was located hours later after being treated at a health center for cuts on his hands and arms.
The young man arrested is 18 years old. He was an employee of the hot dog store and is also believed to be the last person to have seen Scattareggi alive. He will be charged with homicide in the coming hours.
