Broncano and 'La Revuelta' do something they've never done before: the result is wonderful.

David Broncano and "La Revuelta" were asked to be more daring, to break away from the usual script and break the decadence the show had been experiencing for several months. A request that was fully met in the Thursday night episode, May 1st. The result was marvelous.

And 'La Revuelta' broke its strict schedule and did something it had never done before. For the first time, it left the set of Madrid's Teatro Príncipe Gran Vía to record the interview. An unprecedented practice that was well worth it. The destination was the Parisian home of the multifaceted artist Fernando Arrabal, a kind of palace filled with magical objects and memorabilia (including a work by Salvador Dalí) that was part of a tremendously special program.

Broncano, who had already interviewed Arrabal in Madrid on January 17th for "La Revuelta," returned the playwright, filmmaker, and novelist's (and above all, cultural agitator's) visit. It was precisely at that first meeting that the 92-year-old intellectual extended the invitation, half-jokingly and half-seriously. A challenge Broncano has taken up.

The two shared a deep and rich conversation, not without humor, but which revealed a little-known aspect of Broncano. The Jaén native resonated with this change of tone. His interlocutor, with his torrential wisdom and endless catalog of experiences, was a gift he knew how to best manage.

The interview also offered the opportunity to see Arrabal's ornate house, which houses incredible artifacts such as a unique chess tower, portraits of death row inmates drawn by Arrabal's father while he was a prisoner, an autographed photograph of Doors singer Jim Morrison, with whom Arrabal maintained a friendship , and a very interesting collection of paintings crowned by the aforementioned Dalí.
