Carlos Torres, husband of the governor of Baja California, resigns from government positions

It was reported on the night of June 3 that Carlos Torres , husband of Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda , resigned from his position in the state Executive Branch and from his work as coordinator of special projects at Tijuana City Hall.

He assured that he will focus on his family and alternate projects.

The news takes on relevance after the revocation of visas , which he and his wife have had to endure for the past 24 days.

The event was allegedly triggered by a United States investigation into Carlos Torres and Governor Marina del Pilar .
