Dalma Maradona asked for justice in tears days before the trial for the death of Diego

Two weeks after the start of the trial for the death of Diego Armando Maradona , his daughter Dalma expressed her anguish and demanded justice on Bondi Live. In tears, she denounced pressure and expressed her fear of what she considers a power structure with the capacity to influence the judicial process.
During the broadcast, Dalma presented audios that could show medical negligence and possible cover-ups surrounding her father's final days.
“The truth is that my mother is worried because she is afraid. Afraid of the mafia, because they control everything, they have a lot of money, they control people…” she said, highlighting the pressure her family feels.
She added firmly: “I know who I am up against. But I cannot do anything else, I cannot remain silent. We need people to know.”
Her fellow members of the show held her back and reminded her of the popular support that both she and her sister Gianinna have received in their search for justice.
Visibly affected, Dalma acknowledged the anguish of her mother, Claudia Villafañe, who asked her not to speak publicly about the case for fear of reprisals.
“My mother tells me all the time, ‘Shut up, don’t say anything, I’m scared.’ But I can’t. I owe it to him,” she said, making it clear that her commitment to her father’s memory is above any fear.
The story of Claudia and Diego: love, infidelity and loyaltyIn the same program, Dalma also revealed details about her parents' relationship and explained why Claudia remained with Diego despite his infidelities and the existence of illegitimate children.
“They offered her to tell her version of events in the series about my father, but she didn't want to. She says there are things she experienced that she doesn't want to tell because people don't have to know them,” explained the actress.
She also recalled that, although the couple legally divorced in 2003, Claudia always remained close to the former footballer, even when he traveled to Cuba in 1998 to treat his addictions.
“I often asked her why she didn't separate earlier and she told me: 'At that moment I felt that I had to support him anyway.' The same thing happened without being in a relationship, that she was there, supporting him,” Dalma explained.
However, she concluded with a personal reflection: “The first one, do you know where I send it? Be it Maradona or whoever. And she tells me 'It has nothing to do with Maradona, I met him when I was 14 years old'.”
