Expectations for promoting renewable energy

In principle, the previous law, Law 8,994, which promoted the system but has had virtually no support, apparently because the tariff equation didn't work, will have to be resolved. Once this is resolved, and the issue is agreed upon with the utility company EDET, it would be possible to move forward with implementing a law that has been in place for five years, without any regulations. According to the Ersept auditor, it would not only allow consumption to be organized differently—companies could produce up to 20% of the energy they consume—but it would also help reduce the bills of these users in particular, since the system in general is better protected during peak demand periods in the summer. It should be noted that this season, Tucumán had its highest record (875 MW) and endured several blackouts linked to the national grid crisis. "We are preparing the regulations, which will be a resolution of Ersept," stated the auditor. He stated that the intention is for the regulations to unify criteria and guarantee benefits for residences, SMEs, and industries. This involves producing clean energy through renewable sources such as solar, wind, and water, among others, for self-consumption, and also allowing the energy to be fed into the grid and receive a credit for doing so on their electric bill.
