Lambda García yearns for La Laguna; she remembers what she likes most about the region

For Lambda García, thinking about the Comarca Lagunera brings a sigh, but not because she has a special person in her life in these lands, but because she remembers the gorditas laguneras and the tripe tacos, which she already wants to taste again.

“ I was there in 2023 for the play, Papito querido, right next to Humberto Zurita, a local restaurant in La Laguna. I'm dying to go for some stewed gorditas and tripe tacos from El Siglo. I'm already craving them. Besides, the people of La Laguna are lovely. ", he commented in an interview with El Siglo de Torreón .

The actor and host spoke with this newspaper about the soap opera Juegos de amor y poder (Games of Love and Power), which has been creating a sensation since its premiere. It airs Monday through Friday at 9:30 p.m. on Canal Las Estrellas.

“ We launched first in the United States and then in Mexico. There's been very good feedback since the first episode aired. It's a different approach. In the projects I do, I always try to do things differently, and that's what happens with this soap opera by Carlos Bardasano .”

This melodrama, which replaced The Daughters of Mrs. García, has generated high ratings. In the interview, Lamba explained the reasons for the significance of the story starring Claudia Martin and Arap Bethke.

" To begin with, it has very good performances and the cast is formidable. What TelevisaUnivision is doing now is continuing to invest in innovative projects. Carlos Bardasano is someone I've long admired, and I hadn't had the opportunity to work with him before. This production stands out from all the others because it's so real and dynamic."

The telenovela intertwines love, betrayal, pain, and suspense. It tells the story of "Luciana Espinoza" (Claudia Martín), a psychologist who falls in love with lawyer "Roberto Roldán" (Arap Bethke), who, as prosecutor, seeks to prove that "Enrique Ferrer" (Eduardo Santamarina), a powerful presidential candidate and "Luciana's" adoptive father, is covering up a crime. For García, it's a story with varied nuances.

In the story, Lambda plays the role of "Patricio." He is the eldest son of "Enrique" and "Inés" (Mayrín Villanueva), a cheerful, enterprising, and athletic young man.

He's gay. The first person to learn his secret was "Luciana," who supported him in accepting himself and coming out, the actor said.

“ He's the eldest son of the 'Ferrer' family. He's spoiled by his father, but there's one thing his mother doesn't like: he's gay. She has a hard time accepting it. He goes through family dynamics that aren't cool.”

In every actor's life, each role they play presents a challenge, and in the case of "Patricio," it was no exception for García.

Lamba García said that the recordings are already finished, but he continues to prepare more projects that will expand his resume.
