Residente cancels his appearance at these two Spanish festivals due to his ties to Israel.

Rapper Residente , 47, canceled his performance at two Spanish festivals due to his ties to Israel , a country accused of causing thousands of deaths in Palestine .
In a video posted on social media, he announced that he would not be participating in the Benicàssim International Festival (FIB) or the Morriña Festival , which will be held in the coming days.
The reason, according to Residente, is that both events are allegedly linked to the financing of the excessive attacks Israel has carried out against civilians in Palestine.

René Pérez, political activist and rapper, better known as Residente, made it clear that he will not participate in the Benicàssim International Festival (FIB) or the Morriña Festival because they are financed by the KKR fund .
He specified that this funder supports Israeli companies involved in military technology, surveillance, and espionage systems used to commit genocide in Palestine.
"I want to publicly declare that I cannot participate, not even for a second, in anything related to this tragedy, no matter how indirectly," Residente denounced.
He explained that when he agreed to participate, he wasn't aware of the ties between the two Spanish festivals and Israel, and that it was thanks to his team that he learned about this situation. " Long live free Palestine!" he concluded.
In the final part of the video, Residente took advantage of the message to apologize to the audience, especially his fans, who bought tickets to see him at the two festivals in Spain.
“With all due respect and my sincere apologies to everyone who bought tickets to see me, I am officially announcing that I will not be performing at these festivals,” he said.
Although the singer acknowledged that there could be legal consequences, he asserted that he isn't afraid of lawsuits for defending his ideals.
