Searches in Tulum and Chetumal result in six arrests and drugs seized.

The State Attorney General's Office, in coordination with members of the Mexican Army, the Navy, the National Guard, and the Ministry of Citizen Security, executed four search warrants in separate operations to combat drug trafficking. As a result, they seized suspected drugs, firearms, live ammunition, and a vehicle. In addition, six people were arrested near the locations searched.
In the first search, carried out in Tulum, investigative police officers entered a bar on Mercurio Oriente Street. There, they found substances similar to marijuana, cocaine, and crystal meth, as well as live ammunition, a metal grinder, and firearms.
Near the bar, five men identified as Iván “N”, José Manuel “N”, Cecilio “N”, Miguel “N” and Erwin Darío “N” were arrested, who are accused of their alleged involvement in crimes against health, in the form of drug dealing.
In a second operation, investigative agents conducted a search of a home on Saturno Street in the Centro neighborhood of Tulum. During the operation, they seized a firearm with a loaded magazine, several small bags containing a solid substance resembling glass, live ammunition, and a Jeep.
The third search took place on a property located on Tankah Street, within the Antal condominium, on the coastal area of Tulum. There, they found dried marijuana-like weed, small bags of crystal meth, two gram scales, and a cell phone, as part of an investigation related to drug sales.
Marijuana seized in Othón P. Blanco
Finally, in the Mártires de Antorchistas neighborhood, in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, agents searched a property where they found doses of dried marijuana-like marijuana, a crystalline substance, a cell phone, a gram scale, a DVR, and video surveillance cameras.
Near the scene, police detected two individuals exchanging drugs. One of them managed to escape, but they arrested a man who claimed to be Johnny Salvador "N." They found small bags of dried marijuana-like weed and a solid pink fragment, apparently cracked cocaine, on him.
According to preliminary investigations, this individual is believed to be linked to a criminal group responsible for violence in southern Quintana Roo. The six detainees were placed before the Special Prosecutor's Office for Combating Drug Dealing Crimes, which will determine their legal status within the established timeframe.
Experts from various fields processed and collected the evidence to integrate it into the investigation files. Upon completion of the investigation, they placed official seals on the searched properties, which were then placed under the custody of the relevant authorities.
