Tarditti, from the TSJ: "A Court of men filled irregularly is not legitimate"

The member of the Superior Court of Justice (TSJ) of Córdoba, Aída Tarditti, criticized the appointment by decree in commission of judges Ariel Lijo and Manuel García Mansilla as members of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation .
"A court of men completed irregularly is not legitimate," she said in a story on the social network Instagram, as published by La Nación .
Supreme CourtLast year, the judge said she felt a sense of “sadness and also anger” when she learned of the nominations of the national executive for the Supreme Court.
“ In the Women 's Committee, it seems to me to be a provocation to propose two men and leave Argentina with a Court made up of five men for 20 years,” she had said in statements made in March 2024 to the program "Otra vuelta de rosca" on Radio Universidad .
On that occasion, she stated that there is a framework that must be observed and that “this framework is given by the Convention against all forms of Discrimination against Women .”
De Loredo was against Lijo's appointment and asked for "more respect for institutions"
Arguments"These decisions made by the person holding the presidency compromise several mandates, not only his own, but it is a decision that in turn affects the entire country and affects Argentina internationally because the issue of women's access to decision-making positions is a global one," he added.
She also described these decisions as “ patriarchal ” and then asked: “ Are all women ignorant? Is there not one educated woman in the whole country, a judge, a lawyer, a university professor? ”
"It's like a provocation at this point with a convention that says so, with recommendations from international organizations, with a request from a bunch of non-governmental organizations. If the president believes that we are all equal, he doesn't prove it with this ," he argued.
On that occasion, he referred to the nomination of federal judge Ariel Lijo to join the Supreme Court, although without naming him explicitly: " I am not represented by someone from Comodoro Py."
