Three Torreón colonies will experience low water pressure due to maintenance on pump No. 67

Maintenance work began on Monday at pump No. 67 of the Municipal Water and Sanitation System (SIMAS) Torreón, located behind the baseball field of the company Industrias Peñoles. Due to these works, which are estimated to last approximately seven business days, there will be low water pressure in the Lucio Blanco, Jardines de California and Hogares Ferrocarrileros neighborhoods.

The water utility reported that it will supply water to these sectors from nearby wells during the time covered by said maintenance. Simas thanked users for their understanding of the inconvenience caused by the actions, indicating that they are necessary to guarantee an efficient and continuous service in the next hot season.

Simas has 96 supply sources and the preventive maintenance program covers from December 2024 to April 2025, considering 50 percent of them. The System uses this period to provide attention to the equipment used to operate the wells in order to generate the least possible impact on citizens.
