Works delivered at Torreón military barracks; 24 million pesos invested

TORREÓN.- Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas delivered the renovation and expansion of the kitchen area of the barracks of the XI Military Region, in Torreón, a project that represented an investment of more than 24 million pesos . Accompanied by General Alberto Ibarra Flores, commander of the region, the state governor emphasized that this type of action reinforces the security model in Coahuila, based on coordination between society, business leaders, government and the Armed Forces.
During the ceremony, Jiménez emphasized that investment in military infrastructure is part of a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the state's "armor."

"With determination, coordination, and strength, we continue working together for the security of Coahuila," he stated. He also acknowledged the commitment of the business community, which collaborated in financing the new dining hall, designed to serve more than 1,500 Army personnel in training and on duty.
The governor noted that this project is part of a broader security investment plan, which includes the construction of 15 barracks distributed throughout the state for use by the Army and State Police.
He recalled that thanks to this strategy, the largest fuel seizure in the state's recent history was recently achieved, an operation carried out jointly with federal forces.

Jiménez Salinas also highlighted the overlap between the state model and the new approach of the Federal Government, led by President Claudia Sheinbaum, stating that both strategies are aligned on pillars such as prevention, proximity, intelligence, and strength. " This model will allow us to achieve better results because we are on the same page," he emphasized.
For his part, Second Captain Guillermo Jacinto Trápaga of the Mexican Air Force explained that the remodeling of the dining hall is part of the Regional Individual Combat Training Center and represents a functional and logistical advance for the troops stationed in the area. He expressed his gratitude for the collaboration of the state government and business leaders, who, he said, have contributed to making Coahuila one of the safest states in the country.
Representing the business sector, José Antonio Safa Serrato expressed that, after years of violence in the Laguna region, the investment in military infrastructure represents a form of gratitude to the armed forces and police forces. During the event, awards were presented to the business leaders who participated in the project.
