Young man falls unconscious after inhaling solvents on the streets of southern Saltillo

Neighbors reported that the victim, aged between 25 and 30, collapsed after consuming yellow glue; he remains under medical observation and police custody.
A young man of approximately 25 to 30 years of age was found unconscious in a public street after allegedly inhaling solvents , in an incident that occurred on Monday afternoon in the Huertas de San Lorenzo neighborhood , south of Saltillo .
The incident was reported by local residents, who observed the man walking disoriented down Carlos Salazar Street, carrying a plastic bag that, according to witnesses, contained yellow glue . Upon reaching the intersection with Obregón Street , the young man suddenly fainted , hitting his face when he fell against the pavement.

Members of the Mexican Red Cross responded to the scene to provide first aid. He suffered a wound to his right cheekbone , swollen lips , and other facial injuries from the fall. After being stabilized, he was taken to Saltillo General Hospital , where he was admitted to the emergency room and remains in police custody .
So far, the victim has not been formally identified . He was reportedly wearing a black T-shirt and beige pants and had no identification.
This case once again highlights the serious problem of substance abuse among homeless or vulnerable youth , especially in areas south of Saltillo where reports of solvent inhalation have increased.
Health and safety authorities urged citizens to report these practices and called for strengthening addiction prevention programs, particularly in marginalized areas, where young people without institutional support or family networks are at greater risk of overdoses or irreversible damage .
