Blue Ivy Danced With Beyoncé on Stage at the Cowboy Carter Tour
Blue Ivy Carter joined her superstar mother, Beyoncé, on stage as the Cowboy Carter Tour kicked off in Los Angeles last night. What, you thought Beyoncé’s real manager was going to sit back and miss out on all the fun? After she became the breakout star of the Renaissance World Tour and saved “Diva” from getting chopped off the set list? No, sir, now that Mrs. Carter is hitting the road again, rest assured her firstborn is saddling up right beside her.
Blue joined Beyoncé in a few numbers, including “America Has a Problem,” during which she wowed the crowd with some explosive choreography. Look at her go!
She also appeared during “Protector” alongside her younger sister, Rumi, who made her stage debut.
And in a full-circle moment, Blue took center stage in a dance number set to “Deja Vu,” the 2006 hit single by both her parents, Beyoncé’s and Jay-Z. She strutted down the runway like a true professional.
This is just the latest of Blue’s appearances during Beyoncé’s shows. Most recently, in December, the now-13-year-old danced with her mom during the halftime show at the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans’ Christmas game. Donning all white alongside Bey’s dancers, Blue gave fans a glimpse at the tour through numbers like “Levi’s Jeans” and “Texas Hold ’Em.”
During the Renaissance World Tour, Blue famously joined her mother on stage to dance to “My Power” and “Black Parade,” which became one of the most celebrated moments of the show.

When Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé was released in December 2023, footage revealed that Blue had struggled with criticism about her dance moves online. But instead of succumbing to the pressure, she used the comments as motivation to sharpen her skills and continued to dance on stage.
“That’s when Blue Ivy went and started practicing and practicing, and basically saying, ‘I’ll show you,’” her grandfather, Mathew Knowles, says in the documentary. “That’s a Knowles right there.”
Her grandmother, Tina Knowles, recently spoke to ELLE.com about giving Blue encouragement to perform on tour, although Beyoncé was hesitant.
“I encouraged it because my girls were allowed to express themselves creatively in any way they chose to,” she said. “If they wanted to perform, then they got to perform. I tried to encourage everything that they wanted to do—every dream that they had. So my personal two cents was, I hope you let her do it. Her mother, being protective of her, thought she was too young. She was like, ‘This is a heavy thing. It’s 70,000 people out there sometimes, so that’s a big deal for you to get in front of those people.’ And so her response came from a place of protection, and mine came from a place of, ‘Well, I would have let you do it.’”
We can’t wait to see how Blue continues to evolve throughout the Cowboy Carter Tour.
