Book Fair 2025: Today's Recommended Books, April 26

The first Saturday of the Fair is held with free admission starting at 8:00 PM and a program of activities that will leave no one indifferent. Therefore, it's important to analyze the proposals and arrive early to guarantee a spot in the rooms. At 5:00 PM in the Clarín / Ñ cultural space, the talk "Protocols of Criminal Investigation: How to Discover the Murderer" will take place with journalist Ignacio González Prieto , and at 7:00 PM in the Adolfo Bioy Casares room, the book presentation of "El Príncipe: A Political Biography of Miguel Ángel Pichetto" will be held with Pablo de León, Santiago Fioritti, and María O'Donnell.

Starting early, you can discover Uruguayan queer fiction . At 2:00 PM in the Pride and Prejudice room, Dani Umpi, José Arenas, and Sebastián Miguez will analyze the type of queer fiction they are producing on the other side of the Río de la Plata, organized by the National Institute of Letters of Uruguay.
Half an hour later, kids and adults are invited to discover the magic of the Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences through the "Come and Discover the Museum" workshop, featuring three different and complementary lines of research you'll be able to interact with: Paleontology, Arachnology, and Marine Ecology . It will take place in the Explora Zone.

While some delve into dinosaurs and other species, others prefer a bit of adventure, but of a different kind. At 2:30 p.m., Spanish author Megan Maxwell , one of this year's most anticipated guests, will present "Las guerreras Maxwell, 10. Una herencia salvaje" (The Maxwell Warriors, 10. A Wild Inheritance) alongside Sandra Miró in the José Hernández room, which can accommodate hundreds of fans of this author.
At 3:30 p.m., illustrator Poly Bernatene will narrate "A Sea of Little Fires" and describe the creative process of illustrating the book Eduardo Galeano ¡para niños! (Eduardo Galeano for Children! ), at the Children's Zone Library organized by Siglo XXI Editores.
Although he passed away a few days ago, Nobel Prize winner in Literature Mario Vargas Llosa will be the subject of several events that will analyze his work and highlight his legacy. This includes the presentation " Vargas Llosa: His Other Great Passion" by Pedro Cateriano, who will converse with Bertie Benegas Lynch in the Carlos Gorostiza Room at 4:00 PM.

At the same time, but in the José Hernández room, Spaniard Arturo Pérez-Reverte , another of the most anticipated Spanish writers, will present his novel The Island of the Sleeping Woman with his peer Jorge Fernández Díaz .
